INSTRUCTIONS FOR FORMATTING PRESENTATIONS

Please use the following recommended presentation formats to maximize visibility for audience members

Use widescreen 16:9 slide format

Use dark text on a light background

PowerPoint and Adobe PDF are recommended presentation programs. Supported file extensions include .ppt .pptx and .pdf

Keynote presentations are not recommended as they cause screen flicker

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING PRESENTATIONS

Name your presentation file as follows:

PresentationDay_PresentationTime_LastName_FirstName_OperatingSystem.FileExtension.

For example: Fri_1100AM_Doe_John_Mac.pptx

Audio and video can be included in the PowerPoint presentations.

Additionally, any supplementary audio or video files can be submitted in a zipped file. Use the file name above and add “_Suppl” to the end of the file name.

For example: Fri_1100AM_Doe_John_Mac_Suppl.zip

After you have named your file(s) appropriately, email them to Sara Isgate (AV Committee Chair): sbisgate@iu.edu

Please submit your files at least two days before your presentation (i.e. if you are presenting on Friday, March 28th, submit your files by Wednesday, March 26th).

You will receive a confirmation message indicating that your files have been received.

To make updates to a submitted presentation, repeat this process with the same filename. We will use the most recent version of the file. Please note that the final version must still be submitted two days before your presentation. There is no guarantee we will be able to accommodate last-minute changes.

DAY OF PRESENTATION

Please report to the speaker ready table 10 minutes before your talk to be fit with a microphone. This table will be located in the back of the presentation hall.

If you have any other questions, please email me (Lindsay Stolting, Program Committee Chair) at lstoltin@iu.edu.
